Super Visa Travel Insurance for Parent and Grandparents Canadian Citizenss

Effective on December 1, 2011, the Canadian Government introduced a SUPER VISA which enables parents and grandparents of Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents to visit their family in Canada for up to 2 years without needing to renew their status. A needed requirement for obtaining a “SUPER VISA” is proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian Insurance Company.
The required Visitors to Canada coverage must:
• Provide a minimum of $100,000
• Cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation
• Coverage must be valid for a minimum of 1 year
• Be valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port of entry officer
